SoDakraft is a small business I have been developing over the last 4 years. I have always had a passion for art, so during my third year of college I decided to start pursing my goal of owning a small online shop that I could sell my handmade items on. I started out by narrowing in on what I wanted my logo to include. As a result of me living in the Midwest I decided I wanted to include that as part of my name and logo in some way. “SoDak,” is a term natives of South Dakota use as a slang term for the state’s full name. I also wanted to use the term “craft” because of the fact that make such a wide variety of products and I wasn’t willing to narrow down my artistry yet. The use of recycled Kraft paper was what I decided to use for my packaging and so Finally after many moodboard variations, name and logo changes, I landed on SoDakraft.
